Sept. 5th - roof and hazardous waste removed.
Sept. 6th – Worcester County House of Correction with the dismantling
Sept. 9th – building catalogued, dismantled and flat bedded
Sept. 10th – moved to its new home at the Historical Society Building

Demolition Delay Bylaws

Kim D Hopewell has conducted a survey through out the city and town clerks of Massachusetts regarding demolition delay bylaws.  A booklet will be prepared and recommendations made by Barbara Deschenes and Kim D Hopewell.

Congregational Church Tower

Pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the regulations promulgated there under and inter-agency agreements developed thereto, Omnipoint Communications provided the Commission with notice of a proposed telecommunications facility installation at The Congregational Church at 26 Central Street.

Chair Beverly Goodale received a letter a letter from Jeff Redfield, from the MHC which requested information on renovations the church has undergone and wants pictures from every side of the building.  The MHC questions if this site should be on the National Register of Historic Places.

New Business
The Commission would like to reflect in the minutes the coping and binding of the old Baptist Church records.

1. MHC - Afra Terrace
The minutes include a letter from the Massachusetts Historical Commission dated August 21, 2006 to Secretary Rober Golledge of the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs regarding "Afra Terrace", 39 Shrewsbury Street, West Boylston, MA MHC #RC 39751; EOEA # not yet published.  The letter indicates that the site is in close proximity to archeologically sensitive Native American Occupation in West Boylston.

Information forwarded to the ZBA, Earth Removal and Planning Board.

2. Membership
Motion by Kim D. Hopewell, and second by Beverly Goodale to join the Preservation Massachusetts organization, the membership fee is $50.
